I got my first rejection! It feels a little liberating to say it, if not outloud at least to the few readers I have and faithful readers they are! I hope.
This first rejection comes from the Underwood New Music Recordings with the American Composers Orchestra. Ah well you win some you lose most.
Last month I was able to achieve my goal of one competition submission which puts me at three for the year! Which is good cause this month is looking pretty busy. I'm finishing a song set for soprano and piano that I'm orchestrating for string orchestra, finished a brass quintet that I'm getting a read through of sometime soon (after I get parts made) and I'm starting a piece for horn and string orchestra that I hope to get performed next season.
Whew! Now time to get busy.
